Altamont had a four-run third and blanked Effingham St. Anthony, 4-0 in high school baseball action Friday.

 

It was a Mason Robinson and Tyler Robbins show for the Indians. Robinson threw a no-hitter, going all seven innings, allowing no runs on no hits, no walks and striking out eight.

He also was one of the hitting stars for the Indians with two singles. Robbins came up big knocking out a grand slam in the third for the only runs of the contest.

Altamont finished with five hits while St. Anthony had four errors.

At Beecher City

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City played host to Neoga and sent the Indians home with a 10-1 loss Friday.

CHBC took a 4-0 lead in the third, tacked on two runs in the fourth and four in the sixth.

The Bobcats had eight hits led by Clayton Wojcik with a single, double and two RBI, Ian Hammond with a single, double and an RBI and Wes Radloff with a single and two RBI.

Silas Buzzard was the winner on the mound, going 4.2 innings, allowing one run on two hits, no walks and 10 strikeouts.

neoga had only two hits and finished with seven errors. Will O'Dell had a double while Luke Romack had a single.

At Beecher City

At Brownstown

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg banged out 13 hits and tallied a 14-3 win over Brownstown/St. Elmo in five innings Friday.

Jordan Wittenberg went five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

WSS was led offensively by Sam Vonderheide with two singles and a triple and Carter Chaney, Gavin Wernsing, Tyler Wetherell and Kasey Graham with two singels each.

BSE was led by Brady Maxey with a single, double and an RBI, Wyatt Chandler with two doubles and two RBI and Adam Atwood and Dalton Myers with a double each. BSE drops to 1-1 in the National Trail Conference, 4-1 overall.

Dieterich held a 1-0 lead until the third then the score was tied at 2-2 before South Central broke loose and went on for a 15-5 win Friday.

The Cougars had a two-run fourth, three-run fifth and seventh innings and a five-run sixth behind a 14-hit attack.

The Cougars were led by A. Dodson with two singles, two doubles and an RBI, C. Thompson with two singles, a double and five RBI, S. Johannes with two singles, a triple and three RBI and B. Jolliff with a single, double and an RBI.

Johannes picked up the pitching win, going five innings, allwowing three runs on four hits, one walk and six strikeouts.

Dieterich was led by Austin Ruholl with three singles and two RBI and Garrett Niebrugge with two singles and an RBI.
