Major League Baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals had multiple new positive tests for the coronavirus within the organization in Saturday's testing, ESPN reported Sunday.

On Saturday, the Cardinals had one player and three staff members test positive, while one player and three staffers had inconclusive results, team President John Mozeliak told reporters.

The Cardinals have been isolated from each other since arriving in Milwaukee for a three-game weekend series, and all three games were postponed.

Mets' Cespedes Has Opted Out Of Playing

New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes has opted out of playing the rest of the season because of concerns about the coronavirus, something the Mets learned from his agent hours after he didn't show up for the team's game against the Atlanta Braves without explanation.

Cespedes played in the Mets’ loss Saturday night to Atlanta, going 0-for-4. The 34-year-old Cespedes missed most of the past two years with leg issues, including surgery on both heels and then breaking his ankle.
