Astros Clinch At Least Wild-Card Spot

The Houston Astros clinched at least a wild-card spot with their 3-2 victory over the Texas Rangers last night. Houston right-hander Gerrit Cole struck out 10 to become the 18th major leaguer since 1900 to strike out at least 300 batters in a season.


Pirates' Vazquez Remains in Custody

Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Felipe Vázquez reportedly admitted to police that he "had sex, but not really" with a 13-year-old girl in 2017. Vázquez remains in custody without bail.
