Shelby County Post 289-611-725 (Strasburg, Stewardson, Windsor) pounded the Macon Jokers in Senior American Legion Post play, 17-2 Tuesday.

 

Shelby County wasted no time, stepping out to a 5-0 first inning lead then scoring eight in the third and four in the fourth. The game ended in the sixth.

The winners drew 13 walks in the contest and finished with 10 hits. Leading the way in hitting were Tanner Coleman with a single, double and three RBI, Camden Coleman two singles and two RBI, Rece Pullen a single and three RBI, Sam Hagerman a double, Garrett Fritz a double and two RBI and Dalton McGill with a double and an RBI.

At Kinmundy

South Central captured a doubleheader over Carlyle in 18U action Tuesday.

South Central won the opener 11-1. Chase Dodson went four innings to pick up the win on the mound. He allowed one hit and had seven strikeouts.

Dodson aided his own cause offensively going four-for-four with two RBI. Andrew Lybarger, Hunter Brandt, Aaron Patton, Sam Rubin, Brandt Hiestand and Ethan Watwood had two hits each.

In the second contest, South Central edged Carlyle, 2-1.

Lybarger took the win, going five innings, allowing four hits and striking our five.

South Central is now 12-1-1 on the season.
