St. Anthony and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg went scoreless for the first two innings but the two teams busted loose in later innings and the Bulldogs finished out with a 10-6 high school baseball win Thursday.

The Bulldogs had a four-run sixth. Blake Niebrugge, Bryson Wall, Adam Levitt and Dylan Guy all moved runners across the plate with RBI in the inning.

Colin Koester got the win on the mound, allowing four hits and five runs on six and two-thirds innings. He finished with five strikeouts.

St. Anthony racked up 12 hits on the day. Guy, Niebrugge, Joseph Kabbes and Greg Utz all collected multiple hits. Guy went three-for-four at the plate with three singles and an RBI. Utz had two doubles while Kabbes and Niebrugge had a single and double each. Niebrugge added two RBI. Jacob Guy had a double.

Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Owen Bridges with a double and two RBI and Chase Thies with a double.

Teutopolis stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to down Casey-Westfield, 13-1 in five innings Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes had nine hits led by Drew Thoele with three singles and three RBI, Eric Kremer with a single, double and four RBI, John Tomlinson with a single, double and two RBI and Lee Hardiek with a single and double.

Ethyn Dust threw a two-hitter with two walks and eight strikeouts.

The Wooden Shoes improved to 2-1 on the season while Casey-Westfield dropped to 2-3.

 At Altamont

This game went eight innings before Newton pulled out a 6-3 win over Altamont Thursday.

The Eagles took a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning. Altamont came back to knot the score at 3-3 in the fifth. Newton finally tallied three runs in the top of the eighth for the win.

Both teams had seven hits. Newton was led by Wagy with a home run and three RBI, Jansen with a single and double and Zumbahlen with a double and two RBI.

Altamont was led by Alek Biggs with a double and Noah Kopplin with a double and three RBI.

Flora took a 2-0 first inning lead but Dieterich came back to hold the Wolves then tallied one in the second and two in the fifth for a 3-2 victory.

Dieterich had six hits led by Flach with two singles and two RBI and Thoele with three singles and Will with a double and an RBI.

Thoele went the first three innings allowing three hits, two runs, four walks and striking out four. Hunzinger came on to pick up the win, going three innings, allowing one hit, two walks and striking out seven.

Webber Township (Bluford) edged Brownstown/St. Elmo, 6-5. Webber held a 5-2 lead going into the seventh when BSE tied at 5-5. Webber Township then won the game in the bottom of the inning.

Hunter Strauch had a single and double while Nate Philpot had a double and drove in two runs. BSE drops to 0-4.

At Bluford

At Greenup

Cumberland played host to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and sent the Bobcats home with an 11-1 loss in action Thursday.

The Pirates took a 5-0 lead in the second inning then tacked on four more in the third and one in the fourth and one in the fifth to end the game via the 10-run rule.

Cumberland had five hits led by R. Brown with two singles and two RBI and Flier with two singles and three RBI.

CHBC had only one hit, a single by Doty.

Talley was the winning pitcher, throwing a one-hitter with four walks and seven strikeouts.
