DIETERICH -- Effingham Junior High School claimed an 11-1 win over Dieterich in junior high school A baseball action Friday.
The Mustangs took a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back. Effingham had 12 hits led by Eaton with three doubles and and three RBI and Burgess with a single, double and three RBI. Smith had a solo home run.
Budde led Dieterich with a single and double and Bloemer added a double.
Effingham is now 3-8 on the season.

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and went on for an 18-6 win over Sigel St. Michael in junior high baseball action Friday.
The game ended in the sixth inning. SSW had 16 hits led by A. Wittenberg with four. Wernsing added three hits and five RBI and Vonderheide two hits and two RBI. Gavin Wernsing was the winning pitcher, going four innings, allowing three runs, two hits, four walks and striking out four.
The Sharpshooters were led by Croy with three hits and three RBI.

Altamont Lutheran took a5-0 first inning lead, tacked on six more in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Altamont Lutheran had 15 hits while allowing Ramsey only one hit.
At Beecher City
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was a 13-5 winner over Neoga Friday.
Neoga's Luke Romack had two singles.
In Saturday play at Neoga, Altamont Lutheran claimed an 8-2 win. Zac Campbell had a single for Neoga.
South Central took a 14-2 win over Neoga. O'Dell, Paci McClure and Quintin Richards had a single each for Neoga.
South Central blanked Atlamont Lutheran 6-0.
