Cubs Acquire Dexter Fowler From Astros

(Chicago, IL) -- The Cubs have acquired Dexter Fowler from the Astros in exchange for infielder Luis Valbuena and right-handed pitcher Dan Straily. In his lone season with the 'Stros, Fowler hit .276 with eight home runs, 11 stolen bases and 61 runs scored in 116 games.


Wacha Says Shoulder Feeling Good

(St. Louis, MO) -- Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha says his right shoulder is feeling good and he expects to be ready to go come spring training next month. Wacha made his comments at the Cardinals' Winter Warm-Up over the weekend. He was limited to 19 starts last season.


Scherzer Signs With Nationals

(Washington, DC) -- St. Louis native Max Scherzer is headed to D.C. CBSSports.com reports the 30-year-old right-hander has agreed to a seven-year contract with the Nationals. Scherzer spent the last five years with Detroit. He's 39-and-8 with a Cy Young Award over the last two seasons.
