Premier Broadcasting's 20 Year Anniversary Party!

979 XFM and KJ Country 102.3 will be celebrated our 20th Anniversary Friday night in Downtown Effingham to a great crowd!

We've got a photo gallery from the evening available here.

Among the festivities, our friends from Martins IGA Plus had a great cookout on the Old Courthouse Square with proceeds going to the Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum Association. The Old Courthouse was open for viewing and hundreds went through the recently completed museum displays. The Effingham Fire Department was there with a truck for kids to see, and the Caladonia fire truck, the last remaining fire truck that was present during the St. Anthony Hospital Fire, was on display as well.

The Helen Matthes Library had sidewalk chalk on the west side of the courthouse lawn, some of which was washed away after a brief (and welcome) shower that didn't dampen the party, but helped cool things down.

Many many kids enjoyed the free bounce houses provided by Probst Auto Body and Cayla's Power Tumbling, Cheer & Dance Center. Cayla's also performed early in the evening and sold cotton candy.

Speaking of treats, Dairy Queen helped to cool folks off with Dilly Bars, as did Tropical Sno, with their frozen treats.

Music was a feature at our party as well, with Effingham's own Russ Howard giving us some great classic rock tunes, followed by the great teen band Breakaway from Mattoon.

We'd also like to say a huge THANK YOU to our participating businesses and sponsors! Click the links below to visit them online!
