Mary Jane Krietemeyer (89) of Neoga, formerly of Etna

Mary Jane Krietemeyer, 89, of Neoga, Illinois, formerly of Etna, Illinois, passed away at 9:30 A.M., Thursday, September 26, 2013, in the Heartland Christian Village of Neoga, IL, surrounded by her children.

Mary Jane was born March 6, 1924, the daughter of Maxey and Erma (Overmeyer) Drennan in Coles County, IL. She married Louis H. Krietemeyer February 5, 1946, in Morganfield, KY, he passed away March 26, 1996.  Mary Jane was a member of the Etna United Methodist Church of Etna, Illinois. She was a former employee of Clear Water Cooperation. She was a housewife, a volunteer for the Heartland Christian Village of Neoga, Illinois and for Camp New Hope of rural Neoga, Illinois. Mary Jane enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and she was willing to help anyone.

She leaves one son, Don Krietemeyer and wife June of Effingham, IL; three daughters, Linda Levingston and husband Jim of rural Neoga, Il, Shirley Browning and husband Bill and Sandy McDowell of Etna, IL; one sister, Ruth Cole and husband Glenn of Etna. IL; ten grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Krietemeyer was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Krietemeyer; one brother, Robert Drennan; two sisters, Edith Drennan and Elwanda White; one great grandson, Emmit Haarman.

Memorials may be made to the Heartland Christian Village Auxiliary of Neoga, IL, or to Etna United Methodist Church of Etna, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A. M. Monday, September 30, 2013, in the Etna United Methodist Church of Etna, IL, with the Rev. Debbie Reese of Effingham, IL officiating. Visitation will be held from  5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September  29, 2013, and 1 hour before service on Monday in the Etna United Methodist Church in Etna, Illinois. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Paradise Township, Coles County, Illinois. The Swengel-O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, is in charge of arrangements.
