Mollie Bee Lechman, 56, of Effingham, IL, passed away at 5 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at her home.
A Celebration of Mollie’s Life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Christ’s Church of Effingham, with Pastor Jeff Michael officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday before the services. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Mollie’s ashes will be scattered in the view of “The Castles” Mountain Range in Gunnison, CO.

Mollie was born on April 10, 1957, in Aurora, CO, the daughter of Farris and Winifred (Stout) Dozier. She married Michael K. Lechman on November 23, 1991, in Boulder, CO. She graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1975 and then graduated from Western State College in Gunnison, CO in 1980. Mollie worked in the oil business in Denver up until the birth of Daniel in 1993. She was associated with many charities and organizations. She was an active member of Christ’s Church of Effingham. She was an avid Denver Broncos fan and a voracious reader. Mollie was a loving wife and a devoted mother. She was a kind, gentle soul who would help anyone. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed life. She will be greatly missed by all.
Mollie is survived by her husband, Michael K. Lechman of Effingham; children, Daniel and Ellen, both of Effingham; father, Farris Dozier of Washington, DC; siblings, Carl Dozier of Palmer Lake, CO, Mary (Lars) Meyer of Colorado Springs, CO, and Ed (Yvonne) Dozier of Poway, CA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Winifred Dozier.
