Duane A. Feldhake (45) of Effingham

Duane A. Feldhake, 45 of Effingham, passed away at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to service time Monday morning at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Effingham County Humane Society or to the donor’s choice.
Duane was born October 25, 1967, the son of Albert and Anna (Greger) Feldhake. He spent most of his life in a wheel chair as a paraplegic but was able to live alone. Duane attended St. Anthony Grade School and 3 ½ years at St. Anthony High School, but graduated from Effingham High School with the class of 1986.
Duane is survived by his mother, Anna of Effingham; sisters, Gail (Terry) Kraft of Effingham and Mary (Elmer) Lawyer of Pesotum; brothers, David (Kelly) Feldhake and Donald (Pam) Feldhake, both of Effingham and Daniel (Sandy) Feldhake of Edgewood; step-sister, Vicki (Todd) Probst of Wheeler; step-brothers, David Sparling of Effingham and Tom (Mary) Sparling of Topeka, Kansas; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Duane was preceded in death by his father, Albert; step-father, Pearly “Tom” Sparling; sister, Deborah Alldredge; grandparents, Ralph and Elsie Hook, Frank Feldhake and Robert and Florence Brady.
