Burma L. Anderson, 66, of Effingham died Thursday morning, July 11, 2013 in her home at Lake Sara.

Funeral services will be 10am Saturday, the 13th at Christ's Church in Effingham.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Friday at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham and from 9:30am to service time Saturday at the church.  Interment will be in the mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham.

Burma was born in Enfield, IL, on October 25, 1946, the daughter of Ozna W. and Edna Mae (Williams) Midkiff. She worked in the bindery at World Color Press in Effingham for 25 years where she also served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Union (Local 39-B) for many years. Burma attended New Hope and Christ Church in Effingham.

Burma is survived by her husband Jim, son; James (Pamela) Jacobs Jr. of Effingham, daughter; Debi (John) Schaljo of Greenup, grand-daughter; Alexis Hope Schaljo, step-daughter; Kelly Shane of Effingham, step-grandchildren; Nick McDowell, Maddy Field of Effingham, Adie McDowell of Champaign, step-great grandson; Holden McDowell of Effingham, brothers; Willard Midkiff of Enfield, Robert (Pat) Midkiff of Brownsville and Norman (Terry) Midkiff of Tuscon, Arizona, step-brother; Darren Midkiff of Kansas and loving friend Janice Perkins of Jacksonville, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
