Ronald E. Hollmann, age 71, of Vandalia, Illinois passed away the evening of Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2024 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Pastor Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may go to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.

Ron was born on October 2, 1952 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Erwin W. and Laura E. (Mercier) Hollman. He married Sara Kulier on October 13, 2007 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Ron was a U.S. Army Veteran. He graduated from Farina LaGrove High School in 1971, and S.I.U. Carbondale in 1982. He formerly worked at Brockway. He enjoyed playing pinochle and golf, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and was a music buff.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Hollmann of Florissant, Missouri; brothers, David Hollmann (wife Dolly) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Jim Hollmann (wife Kay) of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister, Vickie Sloan of Mattoon, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Laura Hollmann; and mother-in-law, Roberta Gene Kulier.
