Bob was born on January 28, 1958, in Decatur, IL, the son of Donald and Bonnie (Bailey) Roley. He married the love of his life Linda Lou Kreke on May 1, 1982 and became a stepfather to Jared and Christina. Bob loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed vacationing, camping, and going to the river with family. When he was young, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. One of his favorite hobbies was fixing things and tinkering in his garage. He loved to go for drives and taught his grandchildren to drive when they received their driving permits. He loved to pester his nieces, nephews, and grandkids. Bob’s dogs Tiny and Charlie were always by his side. Bob was blessed with many great friends. They enjoyed pranking each other and hanging out in Bob’s garage. Bob never knew a stranger and would interact with anybody. His outgoing personality helped him to earn the EDN Neighbor of the Year award. He was a long-time member of the Effingham Moose Lodge. The family would like to ask people to do something kind for someone or prank someone in his memory.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Roley; children, Jared (Amy) Tarrant and Christina (David) Herboth; grandchildren, Nick, Sharlina, Quincy, Kaleb, James, Max, and Savannah; sister, Barb (Jim) Hatfill; brother, Rick Bailey; dog, Charlie; and many family and friends.
