Cynthia “Cindy” S. Myers, 70, of Effingham, IL, who loved being called “Snickerdoodle” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Greenville, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.

Cindy was born on July 11, 1953, in Belleville, IL, the daughter of William S. and Jean F. (Flamm) Fox. Cindy worked at the Lewis Bakery Bread Store and enjoyed working with the public. She also enjoyed music, bingo, and playing cards. Cindy had a creative nature and liked to knit. She especially loved family get togethers and having a good time.

Cindy is survived by her daughter, Kendra (husband, Kyle Lewis) Myers of Toledo and son, Aaron (Kris) Myers of Altamont; grandchildren, Miranda, Dalton, Ethan, Austin, and Rob; great-grandchildren, Asher, Milo, and Isaac; and sisters, Carole (husband, John) Krost of St. Elmo and Carla Fox of Effingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to the St. John’s Food Pantry in Effingham.
