Lucille Tarrant, 71, of Effingham, died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Shelbyville Manor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Ronnie Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Rentfrow Cemetery, rural Shumway. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Lucille Kay Tarrant was born on Monday, August 11, 1952 in rural Beecher City to Charlie and Mary M. (Askins) Tarrant. She was retired from the family mowing business and she was a member of Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by; her brothers, Ralph and Dwayne Tarrant of Effingham and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by; her parents; brothers, Charles and Floyd Tarrant and Lloyd, Bobby and Gary in infancy; and sisters, Mary in infancy, Rosemary Alwardt, Lois Miller, Norma Webb, Esta Pease; special friend, James Shellenbarger.
