Marsha Raye Conner (79) of Neoga

Marsha Raye Conner (Kimball), 79, of Neoga, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Marsha was born on March 9th, 1944, in Effingham, Illinois, daughter of Acel and Betty Kimball (Huffman). Marsha’s first marriage was to Dale Conner, and two daughters came from that marriage, Lisa and Kim. Marsha worked at RR Donnelly & Sons for many years and retired from Kern Manufacturing. There she made many lifelong friends. Marsha loved watching westerns, sitting with her dog (Cooper), visiting with her family, and eating sweets. What made Marsha special was her ability to make anyone she met feel like family, because of her sweet and loving personality.

Remaining family include significant other, Robert Stretch of Neoga; daughters Lisa Camden (Chris) of Neoga and Kim Conner (Michael Sparling) of Jewett; grandchildren Cory Conner of Neoga, Blake Williams (Channing Dial) of Neoga, Chase Williams (Megan Bush) of Neoga, Sierra Peddycoart (Jade) of Altamont; great-grandchildren Ella, Owen, Sawyer, Liam, Luke, Dawson, Leanna, Layla, Tripp & Ivey; her beloved pet Cooper & many other family and friends.

Preceding Marsha in death are her parents Acel and Betty Kimball (Huffman) and her beloved dog Barbie.

Respecting Marsha’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial services. Instead, she asked the family to gather and perform a scattering of ashes. Cremation will be handled by Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home in Neoga. At Marsha’s request memorial donations can be made to Effingham County Animal Shelter. Marsha was also an organ donor and had her eyes donated to “Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue”.
