Norma Gehring, 93, died at 6:35 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family.
Norma C. Gehring was born on Sunday, September 28, 1930 in Kankakee, IL to Lavern and Versa (Bennett) Corriveau. She married Duane Cloos and then later married Marvin Gehring. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement she was a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in Piper City, IL.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Boma of St. Louis, MO and Angela Wallace of Chatham, IL; 3 grandchildren, Patrick (Sandy) Boma, Blake Boma and Micah (Erik) Meier and 6 great grandchildren.
