Linda G. Brewer, 74, of Toledo passed away at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center surrounded by family after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

A memorial visitation will be held Monday, October 23 from 5-6 p.m. at the Jewett Community Church. A celebration of life service will follow the memorial visitation beginning at 6 p.m. also at the church. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the fanily. She was born on January 13, 1949, in Toledo, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Gentry) Hall. She married John T. Brewer on August 5, 1967, and they had three daughters: Bridgette, Brandi, and Bresha.

Linda was a fierce advocate for her children and many others. She wasn’t afraid to take on a challenge. She was a cosmetologist for many years, working at Meis, Regis and eventually owning her salon, El Cabella Tienda. She enjoyed politics and watching her children and grandchildren excel in sports.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Bridgette (John) Hatfill of Lerna; Brandi Brewer of Indianapolis, IN. and Bresha Brewer of Springfield, IL. She was Nan to four grandchildren: Paige (Greg) Alton of Trilla, Presley Hatfill of Charleston, Gabe Hatfill of Lerna, and Derek Brewer of Indianapolis, IN., and nanny to 10 great-grands: Bristol Ingle, Layden Hellman, Kaysen Hatfill, Patton, Ridge, and Happer Redfern, Remmington, Rhett and Rowan Goeckner and Riley Stephens. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog CharlieDoodle.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Lee “Bob” Hall.
