Dwayne “Chop” Buenker, 59, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Effingham Health and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Woodlawn Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Dwayne was born on January 11, 1964, in Effingham, IL, the son of Donald and Mardell (Will) Buenker. Dwayne worked for Three Z Printing for over 30 years, from 1982-2015. He retired as a Foreman/Supervisor. He also farmed with his father and brothers on the family farm in Teutopolis.
Dwayne is survived by his daughter, Kathy Wendt; siblings, Wanda (Paul) Redmond, Sandy (Karl) Jansen, Deanna (Kyle) Budde, and Kevin (Michelle) Buenker; special friend, Karen Deadmond; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Allan Buenker.
