Sally Ann Anderson, age 80, of Olney, Illinois, passed away at 1:55 AM Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Olney, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Antioch Christian Church, 2052 North Higgins Switch Road, Olney, Illinois, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10:30 AM with Brother Mike Baker, Reverend James Blue, and Reverend Ron Waltrip officiating. In memory of Sally, memorials may be made to The Master’s Hands in Olney, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois. Sally was born on September 6, 1942, in rural Clay County, Illinois, the daughter of Wilber and Mina (Evans) Shipman. Sally married Willard Anderson on May 26, 1959, in Richland County, Illinois; and he survives. Sally was a loving wife and mother who spent her time making a wonderful home for her family.
Sally was a longtime member of the Olney Nazarene Church. Sally loved the Lord and to share Jesus with many people. She served along with her husband for five years at the Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Sally was a co-founder with her husband of The Masters Hands Compassionate Ministry, now located at 1065 West Main Street, Olney, Illinois; along with a sister location at 106 South Van Buren Street in Newton, Illinois.
Sally is survived by her husband of 64 years, Willard Anderson of Olney, Illinois; son Mark Ira (Sherry) Anderson of Newton, Illinois; daughter Kathy Elizabeth (David) Leaf, of Olney, Illinois; two grandchildren Zachary Ira (Kayla) Anderson of Newton, Illinois and Kaci Marie Anderson Finn of Vandalia, Illinois; Five Great-Grandchildren, two Step Grandchildren, three Step Great-Grandchildren; Two brothers, George (Dixie) Shipman of Olney, Illinois, and Larry (Janet) Shipman of Calhoun, Illinois.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, son David Anthony Anderson, and sister Bonnie (Shipman) Null.
