Brody had chosen to be a donor and just before his surgery, these words were read over him. “Today we share a common space and join in a common cause to honor the gift of life given and life renewed. Brody’s family shared with us. These thoughts by which we remember him today. We want you to know who he was in spite of the way he died. Brody was a beloved son, a loving brother, (oldest of five) newly Unkie B., compassionate, devoted, friendly, adventurous, took the path less traveled, stood for social change, passionate, hard worker, karaoke king, true to himself, great storyteller, dreamer, creative, handsome, chaser of knowledge, incredibly, smart, and he had the biggest smile. And we now can say lifesaver. Brody was a wealth of knowledge, an abundance of joy, and he brought laughter to everyone in the room. He was loved and loved even harder.

Brody is survived by his parents, Matt and Elizabeth, brothers, Cole (Avery), Gavin, and Aidan Braunecker,  sister also Avery Braunecker, niece Sloane, grandfather Jim (Katie) Freeman, aunts and uncles and cousins that loved him dearly. And a close-knit of friends that he dearly loved.

He was proceeded in death by his “grandmother dearest queen of the universe”, Vicki Kubal, and his dear Mimi and Papa, Brenda and Russ Braunecker.
