Roger Lee Watters (71) of Greenup

Roger Lee Watters, age 71, of Greenup, IL passed away at 11:45 am Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Heartland Rehab and Health Care in Casey, IL.
Memorial services for Roger will be held at 6:30 pm Thursday March 30, 2023, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. A memorial visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral chapel. Military rites by Cumberland County Veterans will be held immediately following services at the funeral chapel.
Roger was born in Terre Haute, IN on November 22, 1951, the son of Clyde Jr. and Bernadine (Ruley) Watters. He married the love of his life Corinne Stewart on October 18, 1997.
Survivors include his loving wife; children Robby Watters (Cherie Reynolds), Melody (Bill) Barnhart, Brandy Watters, and Katrina Ingle (Chris Sparr). Grandchildren Curtis Watters (Tiffany Mosier), Kaleb (Roxy) Barnhart, Joshua Barnhart, Holden Watters (Tia Howell), Bailey Etchin (Geone Wimberly) Harley Haddix (Ethan Fancil), and Liam Ingle; great grandchildren Amiyah Watters, Theo Barnhart, Dante Watters, Sylas Watters, and Zhavia Wimberly; sister Barbara Oakley; sister/aunt Treva Miller.
Roger was preceded by his parents.
Roger worked for E.I.P. concrete for 20 years and also Mountain Spring Water for 7 years. He served his country in the US Army from 1970 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. He was a Life time member of both the Greenup VFW post 4598 and the Toledo American Legion post 764. He loved watching NASCAR and NHRA drag racing.
