Larry Arnold Wildbur, 81, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 7:18 am Saturday, March 11, 2023 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham.

Larry was born on July 20, 1941, in Clay County, Illinois the son of Ivan A. and Mary Ethel “Krantz” Wildbur. He married Vivian Carol Brummer on June 9, 1962, in Clay County and they shared 60 years of marriage. Larry worked many different jobs over the years with some including, Effingham Equity for over 20 years, he owned and operated his own mechanic shop called Larry’s Garage for over 10 years, then he also worked a time for Blomberg Brothers in Farina as a truck driver and mechanic, and was a Mason Township Trustee for 4 years. Larry loved to go camping, spending time with his family and friends. Some other hobbies included: deer hunting, horseback riding and Larry loved to sing. Larry was a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ in Louisville.

Larry is survived by his wife: Vivian Wildbur of Mason; daughters: Deborah (Reg) Ricketts of Mason, Denise (Todd) Kollman of Mason; 3 grandchildren: Rindy Ricketts of Mason, Bryce Kollman of Union, Missouri, Keyan Kollman of Mason; brother: Paul (Rosalie) Wildbur of Iola; sisters: Norma Bonham of Flora, Lois Wells of Quincy, Illinois, Aileen Anderson of Flora; sister-in-law: Shirley Wildbur of Effingham.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Harold Wildbur, Charles Wildbur; 3 brothers-in-law: Harley Bonham, Gaylon Wells, Don Anderson; sister-in-law: Barbara Wildbur.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville where friends may call from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded, and a private family interment will be held at a later date in the Oskaloosa Cemetery, Xenia.
