Norma Norlina Wolf, 88 of Altamont, died at 4:10pm, Monday, June 11th, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont with Rev. Jason Rensner officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont and for one hour prior to service time at the church. Norma was born on January 19, 1924 in rural Altamont, the daughter of Herman and Maria (Bernahl) Stuemke. She married Clarence H. Wolf on May 6, 1945 at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Altamont. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1998. As well as being a mother and homemaker she had been employed with the Torbeck Store and then Eckhardt’s and eventually was a familiar face at S& W Supermarket. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild, the Fellowship Club and LWML. She was also a Gold Star Mother, and lifetime member of Gieseking-Schwerdtfeger VFW Post #7676 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Randy Wolf and his wife Linda of St. Elmo, sister Helen Marchionda and her husband Paul of Albuquerque, New Mexico, 3 grandchildren; Andra Carson and her husband Luke of St. Elmo, Lucas Wolf of Mountain View, California, Heather Samudovsky and her husband Joe of Springfield and 3 great grandchildren; Aubrey, Madison and Kinley Carson all of St. Elmo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Marsha Wolf Greene, sisters, Ella Bandelow, Elsie Winter, Edna Yagow and Mabel Wolf.
