Joseph L. "Joe" Dooley 85, of Casey, Illinois formerly of Neoga, Illinois passed away Thursday January 26, 2023 in Yale, IL.
He was born July 2, 1937 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Lawrence T. And Caroline (Goeckner) Dooley. Mr. Dooley married Carol Barton June 27, 2007 in Casey, Illinois. Joe was a retired farm hand and general laborer. He was a former member of the St. Mary of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois and a member the Moose Lodge in Casey, Illinois.
Mr Dooley is survived by his wife, Carol Dooley of Yale, Illinois; children, Charles Dooley of Rantoul, Illinois, Jason Dooley of Iuka, Illinois and Kenny Craig (Daniell) of Casey, Illinois; step children, Jan Watkins-Facer of Casey, Illinois, Annette Patton of Casey, Illinois, Ann Paul (Jason) of Sullivan, Illinois, Mabel Wilkins of Toledo, Illinois, Gladys Lawhorn of Casey, Illinois and Tim Barton (Stacey) of Hawkinsville, Georgia; thirty grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren & two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret May Dooley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois. Visitation will be Tuesday January 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM until service time also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Trowbridge, Illinois.
