Ella Lee was a faithful servant to the Lord and a member of the Hidalgo Independent Christian Church. Ella Lee started working at E.R. Moore Company shortly after graduating high school where she retired years later. In Ella’s early years, she was a 4H leader and taught many young women how to sew. Ella also coached softball for many years and impacted the lives of those she coached, on and off the field. Ella enjoyed playing bingo with her Aunt Marge and loved the Cumberland County Fair, specifically watching the thoroughbred horse races. Ella was deeply involved with her church, she was a Sunday school teacher and an Awana leader, likely having a perfect attendance every Wednesday night and most recently treasurer of the HOPE food pantry. Although Ella had no children of her own, she loved her nieces and their children deeply. You would often find her at one of their sporting events or at a 4H pig show. Ella also had many close friends whom she loved and cherished dearly.
