Evelyn Louise Livingston, 93, of rural Toledo passed away January 3, 2023, at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 7, 2023, at 10:30 am at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Montrose. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am to service time. Burial will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Montrose. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo will be assisting the family.

Evelyn was born September 8, 1929, at the home of her maternal grandparents in Spring Point Township near Toledo, the oldest child of Lester Elliott and Laura Oma (Price) Elliott. She married Vernon Livingston on October 30, 1950, and they celebrated 44 years of marriage. Evelyn was active in both her community and her church, St. Rose of Lima at Montrose. She graduated from Toledo High School in 1946, then later graduated from Lake Land College. She was employed with Rutledge Olds - Cadillac in Mattoon, IL., and Evelyn was very involved with the Life Center in Toledo, she served on the board and delivered Meals-on-wheels for many years, she was also a 4-H leader for a time.

Survivors include her four children Ruth (Kerry) “Buck” Buchanan, Mary McKerrow, Mark (Shawn) Livingston, and Rita Combs; ten grandchildren Josh Buchanan, Janel (Edward) Martinez-Buchanan, Kendra Buchanan (Randolph Westling), Rob (Melissa) Olmstead, Monica Carter, Paul (Cyndi) Olmstead, Ben (Cassie) Olmstead, Coartney (Terry) Hedger, Nathan Livingston, Alec Combs, Jeremy (Adrienne) McKerrow, Jordan McKerrow, and Brandon McKerrow; several great grandchildren; brother Gary (Darlene) Elliott; sister in law Hilda Livingston and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sisters Dorsa Elliott, Luella Livingston, Janice James Nees; son in law Brad Olmstead. Memorials may be made to Peace Meal or the Life Center at Toledo. Online condolences can be expressed by clicking here
