Leslie Robert “Bob” Kuehl, 86, of Teutopolis, IL passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL, with his loved ones by his side.

Bob was born on February 25, 1936, in Aurora, the son of Emil and Edith (Carpenter) Kuehl. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Bob married Marilyn Joann Hall on September 5, 1958, in Atwood, and they were blessed with 29 years of marriage before her early passing on August 16, 1988. Bob worked for the Village of Mt. Auburn in Christian County and retired from A.E. Staley Manufacturing in Decatur. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and hunting.

He leaves behind his son, Mark (Jane) Kuehl of Cowden; two daughters: Debra Doedtman of Teutopolis and Brenda Kuehl of Strasburg and 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn; three brothers: John, Albert and Donald Kuehl and four sisters: Nellie Walston, Ruth Hunziker, Florence Kuehl and Cleo in infancy.

Private graveside services will be held in Mound Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to the love of his life, Marilyn. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden is assisting the family. Family and friends are invited to light a candle or share a story by clicking here
