Patricia was born May 10, 1947, in Effingham,  the daughter of Earl and Alma Vonderheide. She married Darrell Fuesting September 2, 1967 at Sacred Heart Church in Effingham.

Patricia was a customer representative for Illinois Consolidated Communications for over 30 years. She started out as a switchboard operator and worked until the dawn of the cell phone age. She balanced her life and work as an outstanding military wife. She was often left to take on all the duties of the household while her husband was away on military duty.

She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She lived for her whole family. This included brothers, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was in the know on keeping up with the “whereabouts” and “whatnots” of all their lives. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, decorating, (especially Christmas), flower gardening, going to mass, plenty of HGTV (when “the game” wasn’t on), and finally playing the piano.

Her deepest passion and first love were always for her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and most of all, her two granddaughters. She was a kid at heart and wanted nothing more than the best for her friends and family.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Darrell Fuesting of Effingham; son, Chad Fuesting and his wife Erika Fuesting; granddaughters, Fiona Fuesting and Veronica Fuesting; and brother, Donald Vonderheide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Alma Vonderheide and brother, Jerry Vonderheide.
