Billy Eugene Durbin, age 81, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Trinity Chapel, Post Oak, Illinois with a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Brother John Heicher will be officiating. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery in rural Beecher City. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Elmo. Billy was born on September 9, 1941 in St. Elmo, Illinois, the son of Henry and Faye (Julius) Durbin. He married Lois Dial on December 15, 1963 in St. Elmo. He attended Trinity Chapel/Post Oak Church. Billy was a farmer, carpenter, and a bus driver. He enjoyed living and working on his family farm.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Durbin of St. Elmo; sons, Ed Durbin (wife Mona) and Steven Durbin (wife Jennifer) of St. Elmo; daughter, Karel Black (husband Mike) of Brownstown; brother, David Durbin (wife Stephanie) of St. Elmo; sister, Lora Faye Dollar of Leawood, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, Clayton, Zach, Megan, Caitlyn, Kayla, Maggie, Abby, Joseph, and Ethan; 5 great-grandchildren, Henry, Alice, Daniel, Ty, and Creed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Faye Durbin and sister, Shirley Bustamante.
