Alice L. Potts (97) of Altamont

Alice L. Potts, 97, of Altamont, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, Altamont with Pastor Bill Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Greenville. A visitation will be held two hours prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alice was born on Sunday, November 30, 1924 in rural Greenville to Fred and Alwine (Beinecke) Wiess. She married Kenneth Potts on August 23, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by; her son, Jon (Linda) Potts, Altamont; grandchildren, Jeff (Christine ‘Pete’) Potts, Clear Lake, IA, Derek (Lisa) Potts, Springfield, IL, Katlin (Brad) Dabbs, Kearney, MO, Todd Ragel, Sarasota, FL and Tasha (Todd) Dial, Farina; six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and one sister.
