Darrell K. ‘Peanut’ McCammack, 54, of Brownstown, died at 10:12 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2022, in Centralia, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at Liberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown with Ed McCammack officiating. Burial will follow at Forbis Cemetery, rural Brownstown. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brownstown Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders, Forbis Cemetery or the donor’s choice. Family encourages everyone to dress casually. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Peanut was born on Saturday, September 7, 1968 in Vandalia to Vernon Lee and Sandra Sue (Boone) McCammack. He married Rita Hebenstreit on July 22, 2000. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church and worked for Furlong Excavating. He was a member of Laborer Local Union #1197. Darrell was retired from the Brownstown Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the North American Hunting Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by; daughter, Rebecca (Morgan) Pryor, Grinnell, Iowa; son, Dustin (Joleen) Murray, Vandalia; brother, Darren (Shaye) McCammack, Vandalia and their children, Amber Buchanan, Trevor McCammack, Cody and Kyle Summers; step-mother, Jean McCammack, Brownstown; grandchildren, Lane and Luke Thompson, Iowa, Drake, Dagon, Jayce, Jalyn, Joselyn, Daria, Julianna and Jude Murray and Taylor (Caleb) Cloe, Vandalia; great grandchildren, Gunner Casey and Graeli Cloe, Brownstown.

He was preceded in death by; his parents and grandparents.
