Kenneth D. Oldham 77 years old, of Altamont, Illinois passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon August 11, 2022 at 5:14 PM at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Illinois after a few years of a lingering illness.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday August 16, 2022 for family and friends at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, Illinois, with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Dr. James F. Wright officiation. Christian burial services will follow at the Arborcrest Memorial Park, rural Effingham, Illinois.

Kenneth Dean Oldham was born into the Christian family one of 12 siblings to Charles and Helen (Thompson) Oldham. He was born on February 8, 1945 in the Bluff City, Illinois. Kenny attended grammar school and graduated from Brownstown high school with the class of 1962. He continued his mechanic knowledge by working for the Goers Motor Sales, A& H Implement in Altamont and McDowell’s Service Station in Vandalia for a number of years before running the Mobil Oil Station at the 4-Way stop in Altamont before becoming Kenny’s Mobil Oil Station, a very poplar local gathering place for young men. After retiring Kenny, locally known a “Odie” had a firm interest in gardening where one could witness his results at his home along route #40. As part time he continued working on some automobiles and doing some handy-man work, as well as managing Oldham’s Rental Properties. Kenny married Judith Elouise Goers in 1966 at Immanuel Lutheran Church and resided in Altamont to raise a family and she survives.

Memorials may be directed to Altamont Lutheran Interparish School in Altamont and or the donor’s choice.

Kenneth is survived by his: Wife: Judith Elouise Goers-Oldham of Altamont, Illinois; 2- Sons: Ricky Dean (wife, Renee) Oldham of Tower Hill, Illinois and their son Dalton Brazel; Terry Dale (wife, Becky) Oldham of Newton, Illinois and their children Alli Kline, Emma & Jacob Oldham; Stepsons: James “Jerome” (wife Melody) Jenkins of Lakewood, Illinois; Joseph Jenkins; Kenneth Dean Oldham Jr.-Step Grandson; Brother: Eugene (wife, Carolyn) Oldham of Maroa, Illinois; Sisters: Alice Ward of Brownstown, Illinois, Judy Lovall of Moweaqua, Illinois, Nancy (husband, Steve) Braun of Vandalia, Illinois, Catherine (husband, Joe) Gipson of Macon, Illinois, Joanne) Neal of Decatur, Illinois, Joyce Oldham of Brownstown, Illinois; Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: Parents: Charles and Helen (Thompson) Oldham; Father-in-law: Werner Goers; Mother-in-law: Eleanor Duckwitz-Goers; Stepson: Jeffrey Lee “Jethro” Jenkins; Brothers: David Oldham and Stanley Oldham.
