Kathryn Kay Grames, 72, of Salem, died at 7:54 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Salem Township Hospital, Salem.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown with Ray Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Kay was born on Wednesday, September 14, 1949 in St. Elmo, IL to Harley and Glenda (Fouts) Gottman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Brownstown. She was retired from Gene’s Red Fox where she had worked for 18 years.

She is survived by: her daughter, Rhonda Grames of Salem; brothers, Fred (Mary Jane) Gottman of St. Elmo, Chuck Gottman of St. Elmo, Bill (Lois) Gottman of Bluff City, Dave (Donna) Gottman of Altamont, and Bruce Gottman of St. Elmo; sisters, Glenda (Ron) Zimmer of Brownstown, Sue (Mark) Massey of St. Elmo, Marsha (Mike) Kraner of Morrisonville, Caryn Mason of St. Elmo, Diane Rigdon of Brownstown and Marylou (Alan) Myers of Altamont; grandchildren, Brandon Grames, Sandy Woods, and Joshua Grames; great grandchildren, Kyle Starr, Dayton Woods, Emma Woods and Wyloh Newman and Otis, her furry best friend.

Kay was preceded in death by: her parents, long-time companion, Ivan Pruett; son, Ronnie Grames; and brother, Roger Gottman.
