Bruce Alan Apple, age 62, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 4:44 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Arbor Rose Assisted Living in Robinson, Illinois.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 1:00–2:00 PM (1 hour) prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Bruce Alan was born on April 5, 1960, the son of Phillip Russell and Zella (Chapman) Apple. Bruce graduated from Newton Community High School with the Class of 1978. He worked at Jesse B Holt for many years and then for Kirchners Building Centers in Newton, Illinois. Bruce enjoyed hunting, gun smithing, playing golf, listening to old rock-n-roll music and cooking at the Jasper Post #20 American Legion.

Bruce is survived by - Siblings - Crystal Frank of Newburg, Indiana and Michael (Leslie) Apple of Newton, Illinois; Nieces & Nephews – Kiley (John) Bierman of Teutopolis, Illinois; Breyton (Tara) Apple of Newton, Illinois; Brittany Frank (fiancée Travis Coulter) of Evansville, Indiana; Great nieces & Nephews - Kiel Apple of Newton, Illinois; Gabe Gordon of Teutopolis, Illinois; Russell Apple of Newton, Illinois; Jackson Bierman of Teutopolis, Illinois and Zella Apple of Newton, Illinois; Best Friend – Grover the Dog

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.
