Thomas E. Eaton, Jr age 55, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 10:22 PM Monday, April 4, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

A reception celebrating the life of Tom will be begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Newton Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) 106 North Van Buren Street, Newton, Illinois. Thomas, better known as Tom, was born on February 16, 1967, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Thomas E. and Myra (Strole) Eaton, Sr. Tom graduated from Newton Community High School in 1985. He was a truck driver for many years, working for McDaniel Oil and Direct Lines. He also worked as a boilermaker and farmer. Most recently he was employed at EVAPCO in Greenup. Tom had been a Mason, Shriner and a member of the Moose. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing.

Tom is survived by: Children – Courtney Eaton and Logan Eaton of Newton, Illinois; Grandchildren – Kraegan Groves, Braddik Groves, Kenton Eaton, Lainey Groves and Garrett Eaton; Mother – Myra (Rob) Robert of Newton, Illinois; Father – Tomas Eaton, Sr of Newton, Illinois; Sister – Angie Norman of San Antonio, Texas.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew Wyatt Norman.
