Clinton “Butch” Hubbert (77) of Beecher City

CLINTON “Butch” HUBBERT 77 years old, of Beecher City, Illinois went to join his family in Heaven on Thursday March 3, 2022 at 2:33 am at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Kull Funeral Chapel, Altamont, Illinois. Visitation for family and friends will be conducted at the Kull Funeral Chapel on Sunday March 6, 2022 beginning at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Christian burial rites will be held in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery four miles north on Illinois 128, Beecher City, Illinois after the funeral service.Memorial may be directed to the Project Linus, Effingham, Illinois chapter, an organization that provides Quilts and Afghan’s for children in hospitals or natural disasters.

Butch was born June 27,1944 at home in Assumption, Illinois the 5th of eight children into the family of Cleo “Buster” and Eunice (Grames) Hubbert. Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and dominoes. He was employed by Fedders USA in Effingham for 40 years before retiring in 2006.

The family requests casual attire to be worn. Butch was a country boy, and his style was jeans and a t-shirt. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of St. John’s Hospital for all of their help and care during his illness.

Butch is survived by his: 3-Sisters: Dorothy Irene (husband, Phil) Sinkler of Dieterich, Illinois, Geneva Marie Hubbert of Beecher City, Illinois and Phyllis Eileen (husband, Chris) Eskew of Effingham, Illinois; 1-Brother-in-law: Gerald  Dean Neal.

Butch was preceded by: Parents: Cleo William Hubbert and Frona Eunice (Grames) Hubbert; 4- Sisters: Mary Catherine Neal, Lilly May and husband Leo Mitchell, Betty Francis Hubbert and Ruthie Bell and husband Elbert Karnes; Nephews: Wayne and Hank Mitchell, Joe Mathewson; Niece: Annette Sinkler; Great Nephew: Derek Lowry; His favorite Friend: Spike his dog.
