Rae Robertson, 88, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away Sunday morning, February 27, 2022, at her home.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City with George Musgrave officiating.  Memorial donations are suggested to any charity of the donor’s choice.  Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora assisted the family with arrangements.

She was born in Hamilton County July 13, 1933, to Elvis Lee and Dora Lorene (McKinney) Ralph. 

Rae was a home health care giver during her working years.  When she was able, she liked to take her pug “Mitzi” for walks to the park.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved to share with anyone and everyone that she and Yadier Molina had the same birthday.  Rae attended various churches throughout her life.  She enjoyed phone conversations with her sisters Kitty and Lana, and special friend, Aggie Gregory, all while enjoying a good cup of coffee.

She is survived by her children: Lindy (Anita) Caldwell of Sims, Theresa Eastep (special friend Joe Pontious) of Effingham; son-in-law: Don White of Fairfield; grandchildren: Todd Caldwell, Chad Caldwell, Tyler Caldwell, Jason White, Heather Cook, Christopher Caldwell, Corey Caldwell, Kimberley Briggs, Geronimo Caldwell, Attila Caldwell, Zapata Caldwell, Dr. Arminious Caldwell, Shandi Waggoner, and Jeremy Eastep; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters: Lana “Kathy” (Sherman) York of Las Vegas, NV, and Katherine “Kitty” (Tom) Milford of Stantonville, TN; sister-in-law: Rita Ralph of Lawton, OK; several nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: George Caldwell, and Leonard “Kayo” Robertson; children: James Caldwell, Connie White, and Danny Caldwell; siblings: Fae Gregory, Lucine Ralph, and Larry Ralph.
