Dennis M. McMahon (78) of Montrose

Dennis M. McMahon, 78 of Montrose, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Crossroots Church in Effingham with burial in Montrose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham and for one hour prior to the funeral, Wednesday morning at the church. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the Montrose Veteran’s Memorial.
Dennis was born August 27, 1943 in Effingham, the son of James Leo and Jennie A. (Elliot) McMahon. He married Janet I. Fletcher in 1981 and was a driver for Mid-Illinois Concrete for many years.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Janet of Montrose; sons, Kurt (Tracy) McMahon of Toledo and James “Tony” (Laura) Wallace of Bloomsburg, PA; daughters, Bri (Ty) Griffith of Effingham and Sandi Wallace of Belmond, IA; seven grandchildren, Latham (Josie) McMahon, Keith McMahon, Charlotte Griffith, Sutton Griffith, Christophe (Tanya) Roberts, Travis (Kami) Roberts and Audrey Wallace; five great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Torie McMahon; brothers, Larry and Darrell and sister, Beverly Cole.
