Jeffrey Anderson (61) of Effingham

Jeffrey Anderson, 61, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at his home.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.

Jeffrey was born on August 14, 1960, in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Sharon Caylor and Delbert Lewsader. He married Adelaida “Lidy” Matuguina on September 24, 2003.

Jeff loved being active and spending his time hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, skeet-shooting, cruising on his motorcycle, and riding four-wheelers, horses, and dirt bikes. He especially loved doing all of these activities with his family.

Jeff worked in the printing industry for 30 years and as a printing consultant for 3 years. He also worked at an outfitting business for several years and the Equity for 7 years. His most recent job was as the Douglas Township Highway Commissioner. Jeff was also a member of the Elks Lodge for over 35 years.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Lidy Anderson of Effingham; mother, Sharon Caylor of Effingham; children, Aaron Anderson of Hebron, Kentucky, Nicole Anderson of Independence, Kentucky, and Luke Anderson of Effingham; grandchildren, Henry Anderson and Audrey Anderson; brother, Glen Anderson of Mason, OH; sister, Kim West of Moore, OK; brother, Danny Caylor (wife Diolita) of Las Vegas, NV; and nieces and nephews, Tasha Waldrop (husband Jeff) and their daughter Serene, Jesse Pruemer, Asa Pruemer, and Emma Pruemer all of Effingham and William West of Moore, OK.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald “Dick” Brown; and father, Delbert Lewsader.
