Michael Wade Dasenbrock, 22, of Strasburg, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at his home.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham followed by a prayer service. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.
Michael was born on September 12, 1999, in Effingham, IL, the son of Scott and Misty (Grames) Dasenbrock. He graduated from Stewardson-Strasburg High School in 2018. Michael then earned an Associate Degree in Agriculture from Lake Land College. Michael drove for Dasenbrock Trucking and Yakey Grain. He liked anything old, from trucks to music. In his younger days, Michael was involved in 4-H. He was the type that got things done and enjoyed farming with his family. Michael enjoyed just spending time with family and friends and he didn’t know a stranger.
Michael is survived by his parents, Scott and Misty Dasenbrock of Strasburg; sister, Taylor Dasenbrock of Strasburg; grandparents, John and Kate Dasenbrock of Teutopolis, William “Dick” Grames of Altamont, and Karel and Chris Hackman of Brownstown; aunts and uncles, Corey (Shannon) Dasenbrock and family, Joe Dasenbrock, Chris Jr. (Maggie) Hackman, Stanley Hackman, and Clayton (fiancée, Shyantel) Hackman and family.
