Shawn Winter, 48, of Altamont, died at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, with Pastor Jack Stoops officiating. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park, rural Effingham. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Shawn Todd Winter was born on Sunday, February 11, 1973, in Effingham, IL to Stanley and Sharon (Teter) Winter. He married Melissa Smallwood on April 1, 2006. He was employed in retail at Walmart, Casey’s General Store, and Dollar General over the years.
In addition to his wife of over 16 years, he is survived by; son, Austin Winter, Altamont; sister, Shelli (Travis) Stein, Altamont; nephew, Dalton Stein, Altamont; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
