Deborah R. Elbert (62) of Shelbyville

Deborah R. Elbert, 62, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at home.

Deb was born on July 3, 1959, in Shirley, MA, the daughter of Victor Max and Carol (Davis) Elbert Jr. She was a 1977 graduate of Shelbyville High School and earned her Bachelor’s in Education from Eastern Illinois University. Deb enjoyed knitting, watching movies, scratch off lottery tickets, gaming and time spent with her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter, Vesta (Clayton) Croy of Shelbyville; son, Sidney Glick of Shelbyville; two grandchildren, Isaac Croy of Shelbyville and Sophie Glick of Cowden; brother, Dan Elbert of Shelbyville and sister, Mary (Lee) Muscott of Shelbyville.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Victor and Carol Elbert Jr. and best friend, Cha Quartier.

A gathering to celebrate a life well lived will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in Sit N Sip in Shelbyville. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, in Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
