Madonna Lynn Nichols, 68, of Mode, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, Southaven, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with Greg Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be from 5–8 p.m. Monday, November 22 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Old Mode. Memorials may be given to South Second Street Church of Christ or to the family. Madonna was born March 22, 1953, the daughter of Arthur Joseph and Vonita Faye (Naab) Stevens. She attended Cowden-Herrick High School in the Class of 1971 and then Lake Land College.  She was a dental assistant for Dr. Richard Merry. She married Michael Lee Nichols August 10, 1990. Madonna enjoyed reading her bible, playing cards, spending time with her family and traveling with her sisters. She was a member of the South Second Street Church of Christ in Shelbyville.

Madonna is survived by her husband, Mike; sons, Stanley Clow (Michelle) of Spaulding, Doug Clow of Cowden, and Charles Johnson of Bartonville; daughters, Nicole Nichols-Breer (Austin) of Mode, Mikala Nichols of Mode and Megan Nichols of Mode; brothers, Joseph Stevens (Cindy) of Tuscola, and Max Stevens of Cowden; sisters, Marsha Kates of Cowden, Sandra Miller (Bruce) of Beecher City, Pam Johnson (James) of Ramsey, and Paula Schaefer (Evan) of Beecher City; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren,   

She was preceded in death by her parents.
