Kenneth Richard Fulfer Jr. (80) of Louisville

Kenneth Richard Fulfer, Jr., 80, of Louisville, Illinois passed away at 2:02 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flora.

Funeral services honoring the life of Kenneth will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 18 at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville with Darren Lewis officiating. Burial will follow with military graveside honors at the Bible Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bible Grove Sportsman’s Club or Clay County Hospice and will be accepted through the funeral home.  Due to health concerns related to COVID-19, it is recommended that you please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Kenneth was born February 11, 1941, at home in Oak Mound, Songer Township, Rural Xenia to Kenneth Richard Sr. and Wilma (Allison) Fulfer. Kenneth joined the U.S. Army and then returned home, married Nancy Wattles at the Bible Grove Methodist Church anuary 21, 1967, and they shared nearly 38 years of marriage before she preceded him in death December 14, 2005. Kenneth worked at various jobs through the years some including the Oilfield for Clay Pool and Strickland Tank & Truck Service, Valley Steele, and then worked 30 years in the maintenance department for World Color Press in Effingham. He was one of the first volunteer firemen for the Bible Grove Fire Department. Some of his hobbies were fishing, hunting, and loving to go coyote hunting with his grandson, Brayden, his sons, and the guys from Bible Grove. Kenneth also loved to play pinochle with his lifelong friends. 

Kenneth is survived by his children; Brant (Penny) Fulfer, of Louisville, Jeff (Donna) Fulfer, of Louisville, Michelle (Josh) Porter, of Louisville, three grandchildren; Taylor (Garrett Hall) Kuhns, Brayden (Libby Feldhake) Kuhns, Brandon (Jamie) Hoyt, seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother; Eddie (Virginia) Lamb, of Xenia, sister; Connie (Dave) Brown, of Broadway, Virginia.Mr. Fulfer was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Judy Krutsinger.
