Linda Lou James, 82, of Greenup, IL passed away at 12:00 pm on November 11, 2021, at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday November 16, 2021, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.  Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery rural Hidalgo, IL.

Linda was born on May 2, 1939, in Hidalgo, IL to Webster Opal (Strader) Aten.  She married Roy L. “Pete” James on December 16, 1991, and he preceded her in 2006.  Survivors include her children Pete (Teri) Haga, Dave Haga, Brad (Janel) Haga, Susan Haga, Alicia (Shannon) Houser and Lynn (Mike) Ruholl; brother Steve Aten; sisters Karen Cisney and Diane Ramsey; grandchildren Tiffany, Melissa, Clay, Erica, Lucas, Kelly, Amanda, Heath, Courtney, Reese, Christopher, Brighton, Chandel, and Challas; great grandchildren Autumn, Tailer, Dodge, Electra, Kinzi, Cheyenne, Justin, Kaleb, Keaton, Kaia, Liam, Isla, Carsyn, Ridge, Kaiden, Vance, and Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Pat Haga.

Linda worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Factory in Greenup, IL, E.R Moore in Newton, IL, and after retirement she was a noontime supervisor at the Cumberland School.  She was a member of many organizations including the Greenup VFW Auxiliary, the Toledo American Legion Auxiliary, Hidalgo Baptist Church, the Greenup Township Library, and the Mule Train Crew.
