Mildred H. Everett (98) of Strasburg

Mildred H. Everett, 98, of Strasburg, IL, passed away at noon on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Heartland Senior Living, Neoga, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kathy Lewis and Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Visitation will be from noon-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, near Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to donor’s choice.

Mildred was born on March 12, 1923, in Beaver Creek, Oregon, the daughter of August Karl and Amelia Sophia (Davidson) Kater. She married Enfer A. Everett on February 27, 1941, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2008. Mildred was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Enfer Dale Everett and wife Mary and Norman Wayne Everett and wife Karen all of Strasburg; brother, Bernard Kater and wife Ruth of Pleasant Hope, MO; grandchildren, Enfer Dale Everett, Jr.  and wife Katrina of Strasburg, Kimberly Mettendorf and husband Daniel of Stewardson, Carmen Mars of Strasburg, and Derek Everett and wife Sheena of Strasburg, IL; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Enfer; brothers, Gordon Kater and Dorman Kater;  and grandson, Don Everett.
