David W. Harrelson, 62, of Windsor, IL, passed away at 2:55 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

David was born on April 3, 1959, in McLeansboro, the son of Bill and Barb (Bailey) Harrelson. David and Carol Polk were married on February 28, 1993 and were blessed with 28 wonderful years together. David worked maintenance for Anamet Electrical Inc. in Mattoon. He was a member of the Mattoon Moose Lodge #803, Geezers Gone Wild and was a volunteer fireman for the Windsor Fire Department. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling with his wife, hunting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his mother, Barb Harrelson of Mattoon; wife, Carol Harrelson of Windsor; daughters: Alisha Day of Beecher City and April Cole of Windsor; stepdaughter, Kelli Shriver of Mattoon; six grandchildren: Bailey, Lillian, Belle, Gage, Coen and Mason; great-great granddaughter, Piper; brother, Danny (Colleen) Harrelson of Mattoon; sisters: Debbie Williams of Cooks Mill, Diane Morgan of Humboldt and Donna Harrelson of Mattoon; uncle, Jim (Ann) Harrelson of Macedonia and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Harrelson; brothers-in-law: Mike and Dan; grandson, Timmy and stepson, Jason.
