Paul Franklin Baker, age 71, of Willow Hill, Illinois, passed away at 3:22 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Funeral services celebrating Paul’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Potter’s House Ministries in Newton, Illinois with Ron Mulvey officiating. Full Military rites provided by Jasper Post #20 American Legion. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, at the church. Paul Franklin Baker was born on September 10, 1950 in Wabash, Indiana, the son of Verlin and Ruby (Murray) Baker. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He married Patricia Staley on March 23, 1974 at the Falmouth Church of Christ. Paul was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was known as a jack of all trades and master of many. He loved tinkering and building; all of his children have special birdhouses that he crafted for them. Paul’s kids will always remember fondly riding in the truck listening to the classic oldies such as the Bee Gees and Beatles on the way to his favorite fishing place. He had a great sense of humor and a deep faith. 

Paul is survived by: Wife of 47 years- Patricia Baker of Willow Hill, Illinois; 5 Children- Christina (Jason) Reynolds of Willow Hill, Illinois; Stephanie (Bill) Pethtel of Moweaqua, Illinois; Shannon (Lisa) Baker of Newton, Illinois; Shanelle (Joseph) Julian of Newton, Illinois and Joseph Baker of Willow Hill, Illinois; 4 Siblings- Ruth Molina of Willow Hill, Illinois; David Baker of Oblong, Illinois; Danny Baker of Oblong, Illinois and Timothy Baker of Willow Hill, Illinois; 10 Grandchildren- Bradly (April) Short, Michael Short, Roxie (Brian) Blackwell, Brooke (Cole) Brownback, Ashley Sloan, Mackenzie (Lane) Geier, Michaela Baker, Chelsy Julian, Faith Julian and Shannon Julian; 18 Great Grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Rosemary, Betty, Carol, Mark and infant brother Joseph.
